CDC, NCIP, and ERPO Peer Review Support

For the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIP), and Extramural Research Program Operations (ERPO), AFL provides public health planning services to complete the scientific peer review of grant applications.

 

Activities AFL performs include:

 

  • Assistant Scientific Review Official(s) helps CDC with identifying and recruiting potential reviewers who have required expertise and must be approved and officially appointed to the panel by CDC

  • A writer-editor prepares reports and summary statements related to public health research topics

  • Meeting planning professionals provide logistics planning, site selection, and meeting management for both in-person meetings and webinars

  • Preparing reports and resumes and/or summary statements related to the peer review process for research applications

  • Creating, writing, formatting and editing summary statements

  • Providing administrative staffing support
